Hostess/Host

Elba Restaurant in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Hostess/Host to join their team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring their overall satisfaction with their dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and seat them at their designated table
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering any questions they may have and providing recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including the host/hostess station and waiting area
• Manage reservations and waitlists, ensuring efficient seating and minimising wait times
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service for guests
• Handle guest complaints and concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary
• Assist with taking and delivering food and beverage orders during busy periods.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and basic food and beverage knowledge.
