Food & Beverage Attendant Responsibilities And Job Description

Job Description: food & beverage attendants seat customers, explain menu items, take orders, refill drinks, and clear tables. Some might take customer payments and ask customers about their dining experience, such as the level of service or satisfaction with their order. The Food & Beverage Attendant is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the grill dining area throughout his/her shift.

The average rate varies  at around 6.5–8.5 EUR.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Greeting customers and answering their questions about menu items and specials;
2. Take food or drink orders from customers;
3. Relay customers’ orders to other kitchen staff;
4. Prepare food and drink orders, such as sandwiches, salads, and coffee;
5. Accept payments and record receipt of appropriate payments (cash or credit card transactions);
6. Serve food and drinks to customers at a counter, at a stand, or in a hotel room;
7. Clean assigned work areas, dining tables, or serving counters;
8. Replenish and stock service stations, cabinets, and tables. Ensure beverage coolers and snacks are stocked properly and consistently throughout the shift;
9. Setting tables or prepare food trays for new customers;
10. Maintain a working knowledge of the beverages offered and how to prepare and serve them. 
11. Maintain a memorised knowledge of the menu, prices, and ingredients.

 

Skills & Qualifications

1. No food & beverage experience is required;
2. Strong verbal and written communication skills;
3. Basic mathematic skills are required;
4. Ability to lift up to 15kg.
