Café Assistant Job Description and Specifications

Job Description: to supports the daily operations of a cafe or coffee shop and to provide a friendly, high quality service to the clients.

Average rate in Malta – 5 to 7 Eur per hour.

Duties:
1. preparing light snacks, sandwiches etc. as required
2. observing and complying with all relevant Health & Safety & Hygiene requirements
3. serving customers
4. cashing-up and the handling of cash
5. keeping finance records of all coffee shop transactions
6. washing-up/clearing tables and ensuring the coffee shop seating area is kept clean and tidy
7. To carry out other duties that may reasonably required by the coffee shop Manager

Skills
1. Ability to assist
2. Ability to prepare and serve food

4. Ability to work without supervision
5. Ability to deal sensitively with the general public
6. Ability to implement Health and Safety guidelines
