Duty Manager

The Duty Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel on a day-to-day basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the hotel’s operations, providing leadership and support to staff, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
• Engage with hotel guests and gather feedback to enhance their experience.
• Anticipate and take a proactive approach towards resolving guest concerns and complaints.
• Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
• Assist with check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure standards are met.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
• Coordinate special guest requests and VIP services.
• Manage room inventory and oversee room assignments.
• Respond to emergencies and handle crisis situations effectively.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed during emergencies.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanour during challenging situations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
