Position Description:

• Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner.
• Prepare and cook food according to prescribed menus, standardized recipes, and procedures, requiring the exercise of some judgment and initiative
• Organize and prepare mis en place. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes
• Reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Cook B in a similar size operation
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions
• Thorough working knowledge of cold/hot food preparation

Education

• High school or equivalent education requiredMust possess basic computational ability.
